Lou Scalpati – Chief Technology Officer

Lou is a technology pioneer with over 25 years experience in the healthcare, security and Internet technologies markets.  Scalpati has held executive management and board positions with leading healthcare and technology companies. Scalpati is responsible for many IT and eHealth innovations such as the first Health Search Engine, Health Certification Authority, Health PKI VPN products and the Personal Medical Record application. Lou is known for delivering rich user experience via many technologies including web 2.0, mobile and voice user-interfaces.

Russell J. Ricci, MD - Chief Medical Officer & Director

Russell J. Ricci, MD; former general manager of IBM's Healthcare Industry, has held a broad range of senior level positions spanning the healthcare industry including technology organizations, medication systems, medication care providers, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, service providers, non-profit organizations and trade associations, and governmental and research institutions. As the general manager of IBM's Healthcare Industry, a multi-billion dollar global business, Dr. Ricci provided leadership to a diverse team delivering information technology solutions to payors, providers and pharmaceutical companies.  In addition, Dr. Ricci was responsible for the marketing and strategy for IBM's Healthcare Industry. Under Dr. Ricci's direction, IBM Healthcare focused on industry transformation and the implementation of e-business solutions.

Dr. Ricci currently chairs the advisory board for Meditech, a private healthcare information systems company, and has also held executive and clinical positions with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Voluntary Hospitals of America (VHA), eHealth Initiative, and Connecting for Medication, a non-profit working to realize the full potential of information technology in healthcare while protecting patient privacy and the security of personal medication information.

James D. Baskin, Esq. - Director

Jamie Baskin is an attorney with more than 30 years of experience in business, corporate, financial, and securities litigation.  Baskin, who is admitted to practice law in California and Texas, has litigated some of the largest and most complex cases in recent years, including In Re Enron Corp. Securities Litigation, In Re Dynegy Corp. Securities Litigation, In Re Global Crossing ERISA Litigation, and In Re Qwest Corp. ERISA Litigation.  Baskin received his B.A. from Austin College in 1975 and he now serves on the Board of Trustees of that institution.  He received his J.D. from the University of Texas in 1978.

Arthur D. Goodrich, Director

Arthur has been an executive with Ascent Health Solutions since 1994 and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.

Alexander Cavalli, PhD., Chief Strategy Officer

Dr. Alexander Cavalli is a thought leader and authority on the Physics of Business and other strategic principles. He is a founding board member of the Digital Convergence Initiative, an evolving regional commerce model.  Prior to the creation of DCI, he was the deputy director of the IC2 Institute at The University of Texas at Austin.
